Plan
of Orgon is situated near Alpilles by coming from
Vaucluse and of Cantaloupe.
It is the main accés since Luberon in the
villages of Eygalières and Of
Saint Rémy of Provence.The
main interest of this village is its strategic position

The

1842
- To avoid the movements too painful to Orgon, the
priest of her Parish,
accepts the construction of a chapel in the campaign.

Twenty
one years later, because of the increase of the

Orgon and the Plan. In the municipal elections,

its own list.
In
May 4th, 1884 - The list of the municipality of
Orgon, section of the Plan was a list of Protest.

assisted by Mr Jauffret Mayor

1885
- Denis Constant sends a protest to the Prefect
of the Mouths of The
Rhone and the demand that is made a public inquiry.
This Inquiry
will begin to Orgon February 1st, 1885 and will
last 15 days. For To
facilitate the testimonies of the inhabitants, the
superior authority splits the operations In
2 parts : first 8 days to Orgon and the
last 7 days in the Plan.
Testimonies
of the Plan were received at the municipal schools
by Mr. Désiré Chaix, Schoolteacher.
On 315 depositors of the Plan, 309 asserted their
wishes to see their Interests
separated from those of Orgon. 6 owners declared
themselves hostile in The
erection of the Plan in municipality: Laurent Augustine,
Dupin Gabriel, Aubert Patrice,
Gallas Gilles, Peyrol Jh and Gauthier Jh. In his(her,its)
report of 15/02/1885,
Mr. François Payan, superintendent, declared
that " this Separation
was not in accordance with the sights of the majority
of the country and what itnot it Had
not place to give him(her) a favorable opinion ".
1913
- A petition shows itself again " The section
of the Plan placed in Not
admirable geographic situation, in a part of the
country essentially Prosperous
in the center of the communications of the canton,

one of the most important municipalities and, consequently,

find in measure to face its needs; by these motives,
the undersigneds Have
the honor to ask that the section of the Plan is
set up as municipality Different
by preserving in the new municipality the
territorial limits of it Current
section ". This petition did not have in succession.
In
August 6th, 1919 - The City Council intends to raise
a monument The
honor of the " deaths for the Homeland "
in every section of the municipality, thus One
to Orgon and the other one to the Plan.
1923
- The Plan becomes common independent. Orgonnais
had Always
pushed away with energy the idea of a
split; but, after the war of
1914
- 1918, the spirits seem calmed and ready to accept
the inevitable. Plan,
since half of the century dernire formed a parish
different from that Of
Orgon. The territory of the municipality of Orgon
was divided dux sections there: Orgon
and the Plan; this last one already had her city
council men, one City
hall annexes (district of 4 roads; drapery); a post
office and Schools.
It did not more remain than to get amicably. By
presidential decree of In
July 27th, 1923, the Plan sees ratifying its independence.
